Possible HIV exposure? Come in now, not tomorrow.
PEP is a 28-day course of medicine that can stop HIV taking hold after an exposure. It has to start within 72 hours, and the sooner the better. A doctor sees you in a private room, does a baseline HIV test and decides with you whether PEP is right.
Every hour counts. If it is the middle of the night, come in. A doctor is on site.
Exposure in the last 72 hours? Don't wait for the morning. Message us now or come straight to the clinic and say you are here about PEP.
Message a doctor nowNothing you tell us will surprise us.
The doctor asks only what is medically needed to decide whether PEP is right for you.

An honest note. PEP greatly lowers the chance of HIV after an exposure, but it is not 100%. It works best when started early and taken every day for the full 28 days. No assessment, no medication: a doctor has to see you first.

Common questions.
How soon should I come?
As soon as possible. PEP works best within 24 hours and must start within 72 hours of the exposure.
Can I buy PEP from a pharmacy?
No. PEP needs a doctor's assessment and a baseline HIV test before it is prescribed.
What happens at the consultation?
You are seen privately. The doctor asks what is medically needed about the exposure, does a baseline HIV test and explains whether PEP is right for you.
Will my family or employer find out?
No. Your records are confidential and are not shared without your consent.
Does PEP have side effects?
Some people get nausea, tiredness or headaches in the first days. The doctor explains what to expect and what to do.
Can I take PEP if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Tell the doctor. PEP can still be considered, and the doctor will choose the medicine with you.
What happens after the 28 days?
You come back for follow-up HIV tests. It is also a good time to talk about PrEP, which prevents HIV before exposure.
